Biomass is biological material derived from living or recently living organisms. In the context of biomass for energy this includes wood (pellet, log and chip), straw, manure, sugar cane and many other byproducts from a variety of agricultural processes. There are a variety of agricultural / rural applications for the heat generated including poultry sheds, farm houses and estates, outbuildings, greenhouses and holiday homes.
